IBPS Clerk is a propensity based test which tests your mental ability with respect to your time management skills and analytical abilities. Time management is the key to success for this exam. One needs to master this skill which can be achieved by following certain steps:

Be acquainted with all types of questions

It is advisable to be familiar with the type of questions being asked so that you can organize your time effectively. Attempt previous year papers and buy appropriate books and mock tests to practice. This practice will save your time as you will be able to understand the question immediately after reading it.

Read  the question paper in one go

Immediately go through the entire paper and answer the easy questions immediately and complex questions afterwards. In case you have thoroughly prepared for the exam then you will be able to attempt more than 65% questions at ease.

3. Face the exam with a set strategy

Make an automated strategy to face the exam at ease. There is no thumb rule to follow just be with your plan and move forward.

4. Focus on your strength section:

If you are good in English then you should solve that section first to boost your morale. Afterwards start with the complex sections such as QA and LR. It will help you score high as you will be doing the best subject of yours first with maximum questions.

5. Practice Online

Develop the habit to practice online. Join any reputed online test series and practice daily to judge your performance. It will make you acquainted with the latest exam pattern of IBPS-Clerk and prepare consequently.

6. Solve Reading Comprehension First

It is better if you solve Reading Comprehension question first as it has 8-10 questions based on the story given. It will fetch you 10 marks at a stretch. Then focus on the rest of the questions like cloze test; fill in the blanks, grammatical error spotting, etc.

7. Don’t give more time to a one specific question

We recommend you not to stick to a specific question for more than a minute or else you will slow your speed of solving the questions. You will not fetch more marks by devoting more time so better leave the tough questions to be attempted at last. Give average time to each question.

8. Attempt grouped questions first and then solve separate questions

Questions based on Data Interpretation, Reading Comprehension, puzzles and Seating Arrangement are  grouped or block questions. Solve them first at a stretch and if you solve such questions you will be able to score 5-6 marks immediately. Always keep in mind that there will be negative marking so avoid guess work.

9. Time Management

It is an important instrument towards success. Practice the time management by practicing with the stop watch. Manage your time by solving mock tests in the given time.

All the best!!!!
